Program Overview

The Industry Insiders is an exciting opportunity to connect dynamic young professionals with students across our eight-county region. These influencers inspire the next generation by sharing their career journeys, showcasing opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, engineering, assembly and other industries and highlighting the many pathways to reward careers available right here in our region.

By sharing authentic experiences, Industry Insiders help students understand the innovation, technology, growth opportunities and career potential found in modern industry while breaking down common misconceptions about these fields. Whether their path included college, technical education, military service, direct entry into the workforce or a career change, each Insider brings a unique perspective that can inspire students to explore their own future possibilities.

Industry Insiders help students see that career in manufacturing, logistics, engineering and related fields are not dead-end jobs, but pathways to meaningful, high-paying careers with opportunities for growth, leadership and continued education.

Industry Insiders participate in school visits, career events and community activities while helping RISE promote workforce opportunities through marketing including social media. We intentionally seek nominees with diverse backgrounds, experiences, career journeys and perspectives that reflect the communities and students we serve. Nominees are typically between the ages of 18-35.
