8th Grade Experience

2026 RISE 8th Grade Experience Employer application now open

The RISE 8th Grade Experience is a hands-on career exploration event that connects 8th grade students with local employers and industries in the eight county RISE region: Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty and Screven.

Through interactive experiences and engaging activities, students gain exposure to a variety of career pathways, learn about in-demand occupations and explore the skills and education needed for future success. The event provides employers with an opportunity to inspire the future workforce while increasing awareness of careers in the RISE region.

This year, RISE will host two 2026 RISE 8th Grade Experiences.

8th Grade Experience West (North Bryan, Candler, Bulloch, Effingham, Evans and Screven students)

8th Grade Experience East (Chatham, Liberty and Richmond Hill students)

⏰ 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
📍 Georgia Southern University Armstrong Student Union, 11935 Abercorn St., Savannah, Ga. 31419
